So I was pretty much stuck at home/yard all day, because it was my "recovery day" from surgery even though I felt completely normal!! At night, after mum fed me and STINKY din din, she and D-Guy went out for their din din.
They came back, and......
LOOK AT THE MESS STINKY MADE!!!!!
He ate 40 pepperoni stickies!!! $20 down the drain just like that.....
Ripped up all these treat bags, see, he was even beside it!!
And me? The Perfect Me was just standing by my empty water bowl waiting for more water (awaaaaaay from the despicable mess),
And guess what Evil-mum said to us!!!!
See how she wrongly accused me??? Even when STINKY admitted to making all the mess!!!
(mum: Well, there is only one of you that can do this Sunshade,
and eating 40 pepperoni sticks + a few other miscellaneous bags of treats has got to make you THIRSTY right???)
Okay, so I opened the drawer for HIM, and he ate the treats!!! He even ADMITTED to it! I was just thirsty, you know, dogs get thirsty at times???
(mum: Jaffa also won't rip open packages, even if there were food that he wanted inside. He has a very soft, gentle mouth. The SuperAIRE-PIG did all that! Either way, I know I'll find out tomorrow morning....
It was my fault though... Some of you may remember Sunshade has Cushing's Disease, which is basically hyper activity of the adrenal glands resulting in excess cortisol (steroid) being produced. There are many side effects from having excess steroid in the body, and one of them is insatiable hunger. Before Sunshade was diagnosed, she never did anything like this. After she was diagnosed and not being controlled, she used to raid the drawers/cupboards/garbage. We have since started her on twice a day medication that blocks the signal to the adrenal glands to produce more cortisol. The medication does a great job, and Sunshade's Cushingnoid symptoms disappeared almost completely. The tricky part about the medication is that towards the end of a dose, she starts to feel the effects of higher cortisol in the body, hence more hunger. Tonight we went out to eat with Derek's father as he was leaving for Hong Kong. The dinner ran a bit late, and we came home at 9:30pm. Sunshade's medication time should have been at 9pm. SOOOO, the treat drawer got raided!!
I also know for a fact that Jaffa probably got little to none of the treats! When there is food involved, he doesn't dare go near Sunshade or the food. The scared/guilty face he had in the video was because Sunshade was looking at him, and there was still food lying around on the ground. Don't mess with a hungry B*ATCH!
She did leave a few bags with treats still inside, which tells me there was still some control from the Cushing's drug. Otherwise, she would have eaten until EVERYTHING was gone. But then...... 40 pepperoni sticks is a lot to stomach.....)
Sunshade! You are so busted. You know the humans have super x-ray vision and they see what happens all the time. In fact I bet they didn't even go out to dinner but were hiding someplace and spying on you.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope you don't have a tummy ache.
Slobbers,
Mango
SuperAIRE-PIG! How insulting to you, Sunshade! Clearly that oversized horsie is to blame!

Hoping for good news for you, Airezen, prayers are flowing your way :)
ReplyDeleteMango told us about your surgery. My, you ARE a brave girl! We're happy to see you are recovering so well. Perhaps your pawrents might consider baby-proofing the house, starting with those plastic doohickies that fit on drawers so they can't just be pulled open.
