Dear Marvin

My talented, Scottish sweetheart Marvin wrote me yet another one of his fabulous poems.

From Marvin:

In Honour Of Burns Night - 25 January 2007 - Another Poem for You Miss Sunshade my adorable Canadian Sweetheart.

Title: The Ballad of Sunshade and Stinky

Miss Sunshade I have been long gone from your Blog and so far away,

And now I look upon your news watching with envy as you and Stinky play!

I know you do not like him much but he still looks such a darlin' sweet wee Pup!

But, hey, I thought you were going to send him to me, all Stinky and parcelled up!

I have looked out for the delivery man, each and every day,

But no 11lb Stinky parcel from you ever seems to come my way.

I have even plugged my handsome nose in preparation for this event,

A Stinky Pal from Sunshade would be just heaven sent!

So I look now at your news with tear dimmed doggie eyes,

When are you going to post me Stinky, my promised 11lb Surprise?!!

Love and Poetic Licks from Your Scotsman Sweetheart, Marvin The Dog Bard of Bonnie Scotland. x for Stinky and xxxxxxxxxxx for Sunshade.

Dear Marvin:

Please don't be sad, I tried sending you the 11 lb package. Really, I tried. Unfortunately, it got returned due to insufficient postage. For some weird reason, the 11 lb package became 13 lbs by the time it reached Scotland, so it got returned. Yes, it is very unfortunate that you didn't receive the package, and I still got stuck with it.

Very sorry.......
Miss Sunshade

  3. Miss Sunshade, I do wish that I was more of a poet like Marvin (he's quite talented). If I were to see you in person I'm afraid I'd just have to hump you immediately. Not as romantic I know...

Oh and mom says it's cheaper to send that package to the US :)

    Love,

  7. Oh maybe Sunshade, the parcel was returned not because of insufficient postage BUT because it will stink the whole airplane if they deliver it over..:)

  9. Hey Miss Sunshade,
How about packaging the stinky smell in your new cologne? Maybe humans would like it (hee hee!)

That Marvin is a smooth talker. He does have an honest looking face though. I might even say he's handsome, though boy dogs don't say that!

  10. Marvin is such a dude. Too bad he only has eyes for you Sunshade!

Mom is going to see about getting the Innova EVO dog food this weekend.
She said it looked like it had lots of good things in it. She only gets her meats at a butcher shop that specializes in organic meats. She's pretty particular about chicken and won't buy it from anywhere else. She also gets a lot of buffalo instead of beef as it is leaner and better tasting. I love buffalo. She is getting me more liver this weekend also.

poor marvin! i knew that was going to happen, the stinky parcel getting heavier. but if you wanna send it you better do it fast! or else if he grows into a 60 pound stinky then the postage is going to be horrendous!

    love..

  14. You may have to put up with Stinky but at least you get nice poems. Send Stinky to me and I'll drive him up to Scotland. or make him walk then he won't weigh much at all.

  15. Hey Miss Sunshade,

Our Stinky package has become 21 lbs--we're all very afraid of how big he's gonna be. My people are taking some hope that he'll slow down now. LIke your Stinky, mine tries to follow me around sometimes, but I tell him no, no, no and he goes away and bothers the other boyz. Maybe you need another Stinky and the two can keep each other occupied
