Serious business and HE.........

Mum took me and STINKY to UBC's Thunderbird field this afternoon for a walk. There are rarely any dogs at Thunderbird field, so mum decided it was a good place to take STINKY and have him exposed to the outdoors. STINKY this STINKY that.... geez..

The car ride to UBC was about 10 minutes, and guess what, STINKY fell asleep!! Give me a break, who falls asleep during a 10 minute car ride especially when you're about to go on a walk?? I tell ya, he's really not very smart..

Now because he fell asleep, mum decided to let him sleep in the car for a bit, and MADE ME POSE for photos........

C-K-C and Lillie, how do I look with my tag blings??

Thank doG STINKY woke up shortly after, and he fell victim to mum's camera. I guess I was a teeny bit happy, at that moment, that he came to live with us. The paparazzi is now ONTO HIM!! (mum: you wish) You can see STINKY's photos from today on his blog, I don't share my blog with anyone.

Then it was on to SERIOUS business. You know what I LOVE to do everytime I come to UBC right?? I love to hunt! So I started sniffing to see if I can find a scent trail.

Don't ask, I have no idea what HE was doing. HE, certainly wasn't helping me find my prey.

I wasn't having much luck at first, so I went and found a huge stick and I ran around with it.

STINKY tried to get my stick, but he got smacked in the face by the stick when I turned to look at him. HAHAHAHAHA!! (mum: he was ok, not bothered by it at all)

As we walked further along the field, I located THE source.

There were holes all over, so I knew there MUST be something under! I started digging, while HE laid there watching.

HE tried to help I think, but he did it all wrong. HE stuck his nose in the snow instead of the holes.....

See, this is how it's supposed to be done.

Close up,

I was there, at the holes for almost a WHOLE HOUR trying to get the little bugger out. I whined and barked and got frustrated. In the end, I still didn't catch the little bugger. Mum said there were just way too many holes for it to get away... HMMMPH!

This was my face after an hour of being in the hole

My feet

I was very warm after all that digging/whining/nosing, so I had ate some snow

A close up (mum didn't realize she had snow on the lens, so that's why there were blur spots in the photo)

I saw a frozen puddle, so I went and cooled my tongue off on the ice. HE of course, had to copy what I was doing.....

I ran, HE ran........

So we moved on. While I was walking, I saw a dog stalking me from afar. He laid down to watch me, so I put on my stalking form too and stalked him back.

Now look at what the STINKY was doing while I was concentrating on stalking. Not only was he NOT helping, he ran back to mum when it was time for us to stand up to the stalker!! Gee... I really can't count on him for anything..... (sorry about the blur spots)

It was a pretty fun afternoon, and I gotta admit, I'm not as bothered by STINKY when I'm outside as I am at home. Mum says I'm much better on neutral grounds.

Now you remember my feet and my face right? This is how mum cleaned them!! That's the second bucket of water used to clean my face, and that dirty bucket you see at the end, that was from my feet!!

  2. Hi Miss Sunshade:
Be patient with the stink bomb. It will help you out in the long run. You see, your mum isn't going to get rid of him. At least not for awhile. Take it from an expert. I had Daisie, and I could handle her- she was well behaved. THen we got Lillie, and she drives me nuts. She gets annoying at times, but I have to love her. My mom isn't going to get rid of her. So I say, if you can't beat um' join um'. Just keep tellin her who the boss is. That's what I do and that little Lillie tows the line!
    Hang in there girl!

Looks like you had a pretty good afternoon regardless of the Stink. I don't know if I would want a Stink or not... That's a really clever way to clean your nose, though.

oooh he has SOOOOO much to learn!!! :p aren't you at least a little glad that he's so stupid? first of all you're already a supersmart superdale, but beside him you'll look even better! :) hehe... and besides, if he knew how to dig too you would have to share those critters with him. ugh!

i agree it's too much humping your mom's legs outside of the house! stinky needs a big sister like you!!!

  21. Oh Sunshade, your attitude towards Jaffa is like mine towards Dopey. I ignore him the same way and he FOLLOWS me everywhere. He likes being a pest. He would probably run off too when it comes time to stand up to another dog!

  22. oh... it's good that you keep yourself clean after play. You won't want to end up smelling like stinky, would you?

  23. Oh Sunshade! I am so sorry that you don't like having Stinky around. Personally, I love having a little sister, but I understand that you don't like another dog in your home. We can't help how we feel, can we? I hope you aren't too terribly unhappy and hopefully he will leave for his forever home soon.
