Painting of ME!!!

About a month ago, I was contacted by Barbara Keigher, an artist, regarding permission to use my photos for her paintings after visiting my blog. After consulting with my secretary, I agreed to the request. Barbara, like mum, was once owned by her own pollyanna Airedale named "Shama". The heartbreak of losing Shama at the age of 13 prevented Barbara from getting another doggie. It, however, did not stop her from painting the breed dear to her heart.

This is the first painting Barbara did of ME!!! Isn't it CUTE??


It is being listed on e-Bay, and 15 % of the auction goes to Airedale Terrier Rescue & Adoption (ATRA). I'm happy that I am, in a small way, contributing to helping all the un-lucky DALES out there.

    By the way, I saw an airdale on my walk in the forest preserve this morning. After the walk, her human put her on a picnic table and was grooming her!! Of course, I thought of you :)

    I'm glad you're gonna get to keep the painting! That's cool you have a painting of yourself!!! Guess it's not gonna be part of the Houston, Texas Musum of Fine Arts exhibit that they're having on DOGS? (See Dachsies Rule's Blog about it.)
